The Director of Community Engagement and Events is responsible for coordinating specific high profile police/community events, enhancing existing community focused initiatives and handling large scale internal morale boosting activities. She has established relationships with relevant corporations, community-based organizations and individuals whose interests broadly align with the mission of the Atlanta Police Department to help make APD a models community policing city.

The event will have something for everyone from GED and college application assistance to career coaching and planning. Members of the Community Oriented Police Section (C.O.P.S.) will be on hand to provide information about various programs offered by the Atlanta Police Department.
This is the first in a series of tournaments that will take place around the City. The Hoops 4 Hope tournaments are scheduled throughout the summer. The event is free and open to the public. We encourage the community to attend and enjoy food, family and fun!
