 PROTECT YOUR VEHICLE

 

Follow these crime prevention tips:

 

ü Never leave your vehicle unattended with keys in the ignition.

 

ü Lock your doors and keep the windows closed, even when parked in front of your home.

 

ü Park in and well-lit areas. (If there are dark areas where you have to park install additional lighting or speak to the manager about additional lighting.)

 

ü Do not leave valuables –GPS, GPS holder, cell phone, lap tops, brief cases or anything of value in plain view.

 

ü Equip your vehicle with an alarm or other anti-theft device.

 

ü Never leave your vehicle registration or other personal documents in the vehicle.

 

ü Report auto theft immediately. Provide local authorities with the make/Model/license plate and Vehicle ID number.

 

ü Close your windows completely.

 

ü Consider adding a visible or audible anti-theft device to your vehicle.(Audible Alarm system, Steering column collars, Wheel locks, etc.)

 

ü Install or utilize a vehicle immobilizer system. (Smart keys with computer

 

ü Chips, fuse cut-offs, kill switches, starter, ignition and fuel disablers).

 

Remember, “Auto theft is driven by money and greed. It’s a dangerous business that victimizes everyone.”
