UPDATE: On October 18, 2021, Alfred Megbuluba (5/1990) turned himself into the Fulton County Jail and is being charged with Felony murder, Theft by taking, Financial transaction card fraud and Financial transaction card theft. This case is now considered closed by arrest.

On Monday October 10, 2021, at around 11:00pm officers responded to a report of a person hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Piedmont Rd and Peachtree Rd NE. On scene officers found an unconscious adult female in the roadway. The female was taken to the hospital but died of her injuries. Preliminary investigation indicated that the victim may have been pushed from a moving vehicle which left the scene. Homicide detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
