Preliminary Information: On May 15th, 2024, the Atlanta Police Department (APD) learned Officer Koby Minor had been arrested by the Union City Police Department. Later the same day, Minor submitted his resignation to the APD, effective immediately. Mr. Minor was hired by the Atlanta Police Department in July, 2018. At the time of his arrest in Union City, Minor was on unpaid administrative leave after being arrested in Milton, GA in December, 2023. Minor was relieved of his department issued firearm upon being placed on unpaid administrative leave. Since that time, the firearm has remained in the custody of the APD.
