Arrest Update: On August 14, 2025, Tije Sorells (4/2005) was taken into custody in Cobb County and is awaiting extradition to Atlanta. Mr. Sorells has been charged with Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.

All arrests and photos are public information.  An arrest does not mean that the individual has been or will be convicted of the crime. Individuals on this press release/post/video are presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.

Preliminary Statement: On June 6, 2025, at approximately 5:49 p.m., officers responded to 3691 Collier Dr. NW in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located an 18-year-old male who sustained an apparent gunshot wound. The male was pronounced deceased on scene by medical personnel. Investigators with the Homicide Unit responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
