Preliminary Statement: On September 8th, 2025, at approximately 7:46PM, officers responded to 2305 Burroughs Avenue SE in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located a 27-year-old male who sustained an apparent gunshot wound to his chest. The male was alert, conscious, breathing, and was transported to the hospital for treatment. Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
