Preliminary Statement: On September 1st, 2025, at approximately 5:23PM, officers responded to Northside Parkway NW and Mount Paran Road NW in reference to a hit and run auto accident. Upon arrival, officers located a Toyota Prius which was occupied by a 23-year-old male driver, a 25-year-old male passenger, and a 62-year-old female passenger. The 23-year-old male driver as well as the 25-year-old male passenger were injured and were transported to the hospital for treatment. The 62-year-old female passenger was transported to the hospital in critical condition where she later succumbed to her injuries.
An additional vehicle, a Hyundai Elantra, was also located at the accident scene, however, the vehicle was unoccupied and appeared to be abandoned by the driver. The driver was later identified as 31-year-old Buck Rollins. Mr. Rollins was charged with Homicide By Vehicle (1st Degree), Hit and Run, Reckless Driving, and Speeding. Mr. Rollins turned himself into the Fulton County Jail for processing. The preliminary investigation indicates that the Toyota Prius was travelling southbound on Mount Paran Road NW through the intersection of Mount Paran Road NW and Northside Parkway NW when the driver of the Hyundai Elantra (which was travelling westbound on Northside Parkway NW) lost control and collided with the Toyota Prius.
