Preliminary Statement: On November 3rd, 2025, at approximately 8:51PM, officers responded to 294 Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard NW in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year-old male who sustained an apparent gunshot wound to his right leg. The male was alert, conscious, breathing, and was transported to the hospital for treatment. The preliminary investigation indicates that the male was in a verbal altercation with an unidentified male suspect which escalated to gunfire. Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
