Update: On 01/31/26, Investigators with the Atlanta Police Department Homicide Unit identified and arrested the suspect involved in the homicide that occurred 1/31/26 at 588 Trabert Ave NW. Mr. Eris Neal (DOB 9/97). Neal was taken into custody and transported to the APD Public Safety Headquarters for an interview and processing. Mr. Neal was then transported to the Fulton County Jail under the charges of Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony. Mr. Neal has 2 criminal cycles for marijuana possession and carrying a loaded weapon without a permit.

Preliminary Information: On 1/31/26, around 3:17 am, officers responded to 588 Trabert Ave NW in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a male in the driver's seat of a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers attempted life-saving measures until Grady arrived on scene to transport the victim to the hospital. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim was later pronounced deceased at Grady Hospital by medical personnel. Homicide investigators responded to the scene and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues.
