Preliminary information: On May 2, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 3 officers responded to a report of a person shot at 1154 Moton Ave. SW. Upon arriving on the scene, officers located a 32-year-old female victim who had sustained an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was alert, conscious, and breathing, and transported to the hospital by ambulance. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.

Preliminary investigation indicates the incident may have been the result of a dispute between family members.

Shortly after the incident, A.C.E. Unit officers stopped the suspect and took him into custody.

The suspect was identified as Quintavious Vaughn (10/1984). Mr. Vaughn was charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
