Arrest Update: On May 14, 2026, the Atlanta Police Department's Homicide Unit charged Mr. Jahmare Brown (07/2004) with Murder, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery, and Possession of a Knife During the Commission of a Felony in connection with the fatal stabbing that occurred on the Atlanta Beltline near 1764 Flagler Ave. NE, as well as the assault that occurred near 415 Plasters Ave. NE. Mr. Brown was transported to the Fulton County Jail.
All arrests are public information. An arrest does not mean that the individual has been or will be convicted of the crime. Individuals in this press release/website/post/video are presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.

On May 14, 2026, at approximately 5:25 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 5 officers near 435 Peachtree St. NE detained the person of interest without incident.

Preliminary information: On May 14, 2026, at approximately 12:10 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 6 officers responded to a report of a person stabbed on the Atlanta Beltline near 1764 Flagler Ave. NE. Upon arriving on the scene, officers located a female victim who had sustained an apparent stab wound. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance in critical condition, where they succumbed to their injuries. Investigators with the Homicide Unit responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Atlanta Police Department is asking for assistance identifying the person of interest captured in the above photos.
Investigators are asking for anyone with information on this person of interest to submit a tip to Crime Stoppers.
Persons do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $5,000 for the arrest and indictment of the suspect.
