Preliminary information: On May 22, 2026, at approximately 7:52 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 3 officers responded to a report of a person shot near 201 Moury Ave. SE. Upon arriving on the scene, officers were notified that a person with a possible gunshot wound had arrived at Grady Hospital by private vehicle. At the hospital, officers located a 27-year-old male victim who had sustained an apparent gunshot would. The victim was alert, conscious, and breathing. Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was standing outside when he heard gunfire and subsequently sustained his injury. Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues.
