Preliminary information: On May 23, 2026, at approximately 1:13 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 2 officers responded to a report of a person shot near 2572 Lenox RD NE. Upon arriving on the scene, officers located a 22-year-old male victim inside of a vehicle who had sustained an apparent gunshot would. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Investigators with the Homicide Unit responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues.
