On June 9th, 2026, officers were dispatched to Gate T17 regarding a dispute between the Frontier manager and a passenger. Upon officers’ arrival, the passenger, identified as Kristina Lopez Lujan, had been denied boarding for being under the influence and causing a disturbance. The Frontier manager was standing inside the plane while the defendant stood in the aircraft doorway, using profanity and screaming at the manager. The defendant then struck the manager on the side of the face, at which point the manager defended herself by pushing the defendant away. Both parties then became involved in an altercation on the jet bridge.
The defendant sustained a cut on the right side of her head, and the manager sustained scratches on her knuckles, face, and the side of her neck. In addition to the injuries mentioned, the defendant also pulled the manager’s braids, leaving a bald spot. Paramedics were called to the precinct to treat the defendant, but she refused medical attention.
The defendant was traveling from New Jersey to San Francisco, CA, with a connecting Frontier flight in Atlanta. She was traveling with two dogs, which were released to a family friend. The defendant was transported to Southern Regional to receive treatment for the cut she sustained. Once released, she will be taken to Clayton County Jail. The defendant was charged with Simple Battery, Public Drunkenness, and Disorderly Conduct.
