Preliminary Information: On June 30, 2026, around 12:36 p.m., officers responded to a welfare check call at the location of 3578 Roswell Rd NW. Upon arrival, officers learned a male appeared to have barricaded himself inside the home. Units made entry into the residence and immediately detained the male. Upon further investigation, units located an unresponsive elderly female inside the home. She was pronounced deceased on scene by EMS services. Homicide investigators responded to the scene and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. A male is in custody at this time. The investigation continues.

Update: Further investigation reveals the suspect involved in this incident was identified as Mr. Ciarre Campbell (B/M, DOB: 6/1985) He was charged with Felony Murder, Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Knife During the Commission of a Felony. He was transported to the Fulton County Jail without incident.
