Preliminary information: On July 4, 2026, at approximately 10:07 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 3 officers responded to a report of a person shot near 999 Washington St. SW. Upon arriving on the scene, officers located a 27-year-old male and a 26-year-old male who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds. The victims were alert, conscious, and breathing.

 

On July 6, 2026, further investigation into the July 4, 2026, shooting determined the incident may have resulted in a third victim. Investigators canvassed the area on Washington St. SW and located a 16-year-old male victim deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

 

Investigators with the Homicide Unit will be leading the investigation.
