Preliminary Information: On 07/30/26, around 1:25 am, officers responded to shots fired at the location of 883 Coleman St SW. Upon arrival, officers met with occupants of the home that sustained damage from gunfire. There were no injuries. Preliminary investigation indicates a gathering took place on a nearby street, where witnesses stated they heard multiple rounds of gunfire. The rounds struck a 13-year-old child's bedroom while the child was sleeping. The child was not injured.  Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues.
