Preliminary information: On July 30, 2026, at approximately 10:05 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 5 officers responded to a report of a person shot near 848 Peachtree St. NE. Upon arriving on the scene, officers located a 27-year-old male victim who had sustained an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was alert, conscious, and breathing, and transported to the hospital by ambulance. Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues.
