Preliminary information: On August 4, 2026, at approximately 3:01 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 1 officers responded to a report of multiple people shot at 55 Maple St. NW. Upon arriving on the scene, officers located three adult males who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds. Two of the males were alert, conscious, and breathing and were transported by ambulance to the hospital. The third male was pronounced deceased on the scene by responding medical personnel. While on the scene, officers were notified that an additional male with apparent gunshot wounds was transported to Grady Hospital by a private vehicle. He was alert, conscious, and breathing. Investigators with the Homicide Unit responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues.
