Preliminary Information: On 09/1/26, around 11:40 pm, officers responded to 517 Griffen St NW in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located a male inside the apartment with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was alert, conscious and breathing and transported to the hospital for treatment. Investigators interviewed the victim at the hospital to determine the circumstances of the shooting. 

While at the hospital, another male shot showed up to Grady seeking treatment. Further investigation determined that that male was also involved in the incident and identified as the primary suspect who shot the male victim in the leg. The suspect was identified as Willie Geddis. It appears the victim and Geddis were involved in a physical dispute over a weapon and both males sustained gunshot wounds in the process. Geddis remains in custody Grady detention at this time with charges pending as the investigaiton continues.
