It is the mission of Taxicabs & Vehicles for Hire (VFH) to ensure every City of Atlanta citizen and visitor have easy access to safe, reliable and clean taxicabs and carriages, and that every customer is treated with courtesy, dignity and genuine hospitality. Therefore, our goal is to work with citizens, the vehicles for hire industry, operators, business leaders, the tourism industry and stakeholders to implement the highest standards of service which in turn, ensures customer satisfaction and promote the core values and objectives of the City of Atlanta.

The Vehicles for Hire Unit ensures compliance with city ordinances and regulations, and state laws by monitoring the taxi and equine carriage stands and enforcing the city ordinances and regulations and state laws to hold businesses, taxi companies, drivers of taxicabs and equine -drawn carriages accountable.
